Everyone has great habits and is super successful—except you! But only because you haven’t heard about these habits yet. Or is that really the case? I don’t think so. Everyone seems to be searching for miracles—or believing that what they do (or sell) creates miraculous transformations. But I don’t think that’s how it works. Real change doesn’t come from magic; it comes from small, intentional actions we take every day.
The habits I’m sharing in this blog have had a positive impact on my life, but remember—there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. We are all different, and so are our needs. The key is to discover what works best for you. Take this as an invitation to explore what works for you and create a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and energizing.
Simple Yet Powerful Habits That Made a Difference (for me)
1️⃣ Going to bed early and waking up early: Ever since I started going to bed and waking up early, I’ve felt much more energetic. 💪 My days are more organized, and I have time for everything. To build this habit, I stopped watching reels in bed at night. 🙈 For the first few weeks, leaving my phone outside the bedroom even helped. Getting physically tired during the day made the process easier too. 🚶♀️💤
2️⃣ Learning to rest: Now, I allow myself to rest when I’m tired. 🧘♀️ Accepting that I’m not late for anything and that rest is also a right was crucial. Moving with this awareness, I feel more balanced. 🌿
3️⃣ Moving my body: I’ve made it a habit to go for a walk every morning before starting work. 🏃♀️ Walking helps me relax both physically and mentally. Of course, it’s not always possible to wake up at the same time. But even if it’s just for 10 minutes, I make sure to move. If I can’t go for a walk, I dance at home, jump around, or clean if there’s any to do. 🕺 Truly, there’s magic in movement. 💃✨
4️⃣ Observing myself: I’ve shared this with you recently—observing without labeling has made a big difference in my life. 🔍 Once I started understanding the situations I was going through, I could also see the root causes. When I found the root causes, it became much easier to understand what I needed. As a result, I stopped judging myself and learned to approach myself with compassion. 💖
5️⃣ Slowing down: I used to be someone who moved fast, did everything quickly, and took pride in it. 🚀 However, speed overstimulates the nervous system. To feel calmer and more balanced, I’ve learned to slow down. 🐢 When I catch myself walking fast, talking quickly, or rushing, I consciously slow my pace. 🧘♂️
6️⃣ Mindful eating: Until I turned 30, I didn’t really know how to eat properly. 🍽️ There’s a big difference between eating and nourishing yourself! The thing that helped me the most was Sema’s lessons. This awareness, combined with the practice of self-observation, completely transformed my eating habits. Now, I don’t crave junk food, I eat without guilt, and I find healthier alternatives. 🥗❤️
7️⃣ Using social media mindfully: Reducing my time on social media was one of the habits that most improved my quality of life. 📱⏳ But it’s not just about how much time you spend; it’s also about what you watch. I make sure not to see content that makes me uncomfortable, insecure, or affects me negatively. The “I don’t want to see this” option is a game changer! 🛑
8️⃣ Saying no: Learning to say no is one of the most important steps in setting healthy boundaries. 🚧 I used to say yes just to be polite, but now I say no. Sometimes it’s a gentle no, sometimes a firm one, but every time I realize that I’m creating more space for myself. 😌 Finding balance is a journey too. ⚖️
9️⃣ Finding solutions instead of excuses: I used to hide behind excuses, thinking of reasons why I couldn’t do something. Now, I focus on how I can get it done. 🤔 This new habit requires more effort, but it’s so worth it! 🌟 I started with small things. For example, instead of saying, “I want to walk in the mornings but can’t find time,” I now say, “I want to walk in the mornings, so I’ll wake up half an hour earlier.” ⏰
🔟 Therapy: Starting therapy was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. 🧠💖 I went for a long time, and it helped me understand myself better, reach my goals more easily, and overcome challenges with greater ease. 🌟
The journey to a better life is built on the small choices we make every day. These habits have helped me feel more energized, balanced, and in control of my well-being. But what truly matters is finding what works for you.
Take time to observe yourself, listen to your needs, and make small changes that align with your lifestyle. Over time, these small shifts can lead to profound transformations. What habits have made a difference in your life? Let’s continue this conversation in the comments!
